Depth-Oriented Care, Rooted in Genuine Understanding

At The Healing Room, therapy isn't a set of quick techniques. It's a confidential, reflective space where adults can explore their experiences, understand the patterns underneath, and build a steadier relationship with themselves.

I'm Shambhavi Kumari — a psychoanalytic psychotherapist trained at PTRC Mumbai, with a specialization in Adult Psychotherapy from the Indian Psychoanalytical Society and training in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy.

Why Clients Feel Safe Here

"Meaningful psychological change takes time. Real understanding isn't a quick fix — it's built session by session, in a relationship where you feel safe enough to actually look at what's underneath. My work is attuned to the balance between being fully understood and having the space to feel safe in the presence of another."

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this confidential?

Yes — everything discussed in session stays between us, with the standard exceptions required by law, such as a safety risk to yourself or someone else.

What types of therapy do you offer?

Psychoanalytic and psychodynamic psychotherapy for adults (18+), with somatic-informed trauma work where it helps. Individual sessions only, in person in Jaipur or online.

How do I book a session?

Use the contact form above, or reach out directly by email or phone. We'll set up a first conversation to see if we're a good fit.

Do you offer online therapy?

Yes — online sessions are available for clients outside Jaipur, in both Hindi and English.

Do I need medication too?

Not necessarily. Psychotherapy and psychiatric medication address different things, and I can help you think through whether a psychiatric referral makes sense alongside our work.

How long does therapy usually take?

There's no fixed timeline. Some people come for a few months around a specific issue; others stay longer for deeper pattern work. We check in on this together as we go.
