What Starting Therapy Looks Like

There's no pressure and no fixed script — this is roughly how it usually goes.

01

Reach out

A short message, call, or email to see if we're a good fit. This isn't a commitment — just a first conversation.

02

First session

We talk through what's brought you here, at your pace, with no pressure to have it all figured out or explained perfectly.

03

Ongoing work

Weekly 50-minute sessions, in person in Jaipur or online, at a pace that respects how change actually happens — not a rushed programme.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this confidential?

Yes — everything discussed in session stays between us, with the standard exceptions required by law, such as a safety risk to yourself or someone else.

What if my family doesn't understand why I'm in therapy?

That's a common concern, and something we can talk through directly. You're not obligated to explain your therapy to anyone, and we can think together about how you want to handle it, if at all.

Do I need medication too?

Not necessarily. Psychotherapy and psychiatric medication address different things, and I can help you think through whether a psychiatric referral makes sense for you, alongside our work together.

How long does this usually take?

There's no fixed timeline. Some people come for a few months around a specific issue; others stay longer for deeper pattern work. We check in on this together as we go, rather than assuming one length fits everyone.

Do you work online as well as in person?

Yes. In-person sessions are held in Jaipur; online sessions are available for clients based elsewhere, in both Hindi and English.
